Maklaks Loop

We’d had rain with freezing and thawing for days, so it took an act of faith to sign up for this trip. However, 11 brave souls did and were rewarded with a great day of skiing. Early morning crust soon softened up, the sun came out and coats came off. We made a clockwise loop, stopping for lunch at the junction with the upper trail. Later, Anne showed us a spot just a little farther on from where we had a nice view of Odell Lake and points beyond. After a fast run out we couldn’t resist a stop for refreshments at Odell Lodge.
