Snow Creek TrailJanuary 22, 1995Snow Creek Trail is a trip I highly recommend to all Intermediate (or better) skiers. Although the first 4½-5 miles of the trip covers the same ground as you would going to Three Creeks Lake, within the first three-quarters of a mile after you hit the road the trail sign for Snow Creek leads you back into the woods for a six-mile trip through meadows and wends downhill back towards the SnoPark. This trail is far enough away from snowmobile routes you never hear them. It has challenging and fast downhill runs as well some great views of the Middle and North Sisters. The trail sign is on the right side of the road and the trail has blue diamond markings its entire length. The one place where the directions seemed a little “iffy”: a junction of the Park Meadows Trail — remember the trail is a long arc, always moving downhill and to the right! This trip is well worth the miles and energy it takes to get there. Skiers were Valdas Anelawskas, Boris Galitsky, Mike Landes, Bill Montgomery, Royal Murdock, Birgitte Williams, Tim Verkler and Jane Hackett, leader. |
