Three Creek LakeJanuary 16, 1995We left Eugene in the rain — we arrived at the entrance of Hoodoo Ski Area in the rain… A quick change in plans and we headed for Three Creek Lake, hoping that the gain in elevation and crossing over to the east side would improve skiing conditions. We were lucky: lots of new snow. no rain, very wintry conditions. We skied up the trail to the shelter where we had lunch. Moving on to the road and the last leg to the lake, Sam and John made it all the way to the lake; the rest of us finally gave in to the wind, the only difficult condition we had to cope with. We all agreed it was worth the extra miles to get the best conditions. Skiers were Cheryl Berry, Allen DeBlake, John Holland, Sam Miller, Chris Shuraleff and Jane Hackett (trip leader). |
