Tidbits Mountain

September 20, 1995

It was a very congenial group who hiked to the top of Tidbits Mountain, the site of a former fire lookout above Blue River at 5,158-ft. elevation. The fall day was perfect and with one exception the trail was in very good condition. Along the trail were colorful fruits of the flowers and shrubs which had bloomed earlier, red and blue huckleberries, rose hips, Oregon grape, baneberry, thimbleberry, head lily and false Solomon's seal. Lousewort, pale blue bells and gentians were still blooming. Hikers included Herb Lee and Stan & Suzanne Rodkey (non-members) and Obsidians Norm Benton, Gary Marx, Margee Wright and leader Margaret Wiese.
