Kentucky Falls

Having made at least half-a-dozen trips to Kentucky Falls, I felt like I knew the area well. This trip was not listed in the papers, so only two lucky people signed up for this Mother’s Day hike. We left around 9:00, traveled over numerous logging roads before I found the “right” road, ate lunch by Roman Nose, and finally got to the Falls trail after 1:00. The falls were, as always, spectacular and the weather was warm and sunny. My two fellow hikers (Ritaclare Johnson and Eve Powers) enjoyed a fine nap on the drive back to town.
