North Umpqua (Hwy. 138)
April 15, 1995
After some arranging and discussion we left SEHS parking lot at 8:20 a.m.
An unexpected non-member who arrived too late for an Audubon trip signed on with us after we pooled
equipment and food for her.
The day was overcast with very little rain.
The usual thundering waterfalls were thrilling, but our scheduled trip to Tokatee Falls had to be
canceled — the trail was closed for repairs.
People who are willing to drive the distance seem to find the trip rewarding.
Each waterfall (three this time) is unique, Watson Falls being the second highest in Oregon.
We were again reminded of the importance of reading the posted trip description and the Trail Etiquette
list to the group before starting.
Non-member Susan Drake; Obsidians Hawke Williams, Heiner Walden,
and leaders Mary Jane Battin and Corinne Hunt.
