Silver Falls State ParkApril 8, 1995Apparently, three-quarters of those who signed to hike at Silver Falls State Park didn’t realize that heavy rain in Eugene was local. Consequently, only three intrepid hikers went on the trip. They were greeted by ten roaring waterfalls, lots of side streams and lush vegetation. The leader had previously injured his toe and had doctor’s orders not to hike, so after getting the hikers oriented, he had a pleasant visit lounging in the lodge. Trip participants were Joanne Vinton, Paige Boyle, Janet Levine and leader Jean Ridone. |
