Jones Creek Trail
March 11, 1995
Six of us met at the SEHS parking lot for the short drive to Fall Creek and the Jones Trail hike.
We were all very happy that the timing of the hike coincided with a short break in the March rains.
In fact, the rains stopped as we pulled into the trailhead parking lot and began 6½ hours later when
we returned to the cars.
The Hiking Gods were good to us!
Heiner, a German expatriate, was the first to see a real sign of spring — the first trillium.
The three-hour, steady uphill hike through mixed new and old growth was an enjoyable but tiring effort.
We had a pleasant lunch in an open meadow viewing showers in the valley below.
The return hike was uneventful.
Hikers included non-members Heiner Walden, Page Boyle, and Todd Weida.
Members were Doris Allen, Sandy Reul and trip leader Chuck Reul.
