Bill Sullivan shared his talentsApril 28, 1995With the rain drumming on the Lodge roof, the large turnout at the Friday, April 28 Potluck included a number of guests and new members. It felt good! Local author Bill Sullivan shared his special talents with us and took us on a coastal tour from just inside the Washington border to California. With slides and details of trails and trips and off-the-beaten track adventures, Bill has a very special ability to combine nature and history and makes it possible for us to walk in his footsteps with this newest book: “100 hikes/travel guide. Oregon Coast and Coast Range”. Trails, towns, campgrounds, lighthouses, dunes, wildlife — it’s all there for us to enjoy. I feel very fortunate to have such an outstanding author helping us along. He made it possible for us to see and buy signed copies of his book. [Note: Mine is inscribed in Danish! Amazing!] Many thanks to all the people who helped set up and then clean up, and who so willingly volunteered on the spot. The Lodge and its grounds are a real treasure. —Birgitte Williams |
