Rosary Lakes

November 26, 1994

In the morning there was light snow in Eugene but road conditions were good up to the Willamette Pass. The parking area at the Lodge was packed with downhill skiers, but we left the holiday crowds behind as we skied up the trail toward Rosary Lakes. There was deep powder snow giving us some of the best skiing conditions that I can remember in a long time. A cold wind was blowing where we ate lunch at Lower Rosary Lake. We had to break trail up to North Rosary Lake. It was smooth coasting most of the way back down. Unfortunately, a playful puppy walking up the track caused one of our group to lose balance and fall, but no one was injured. It snowed off and on throughout the day and the sun even came out a few times. Enjoying the fine skiing conditions on this Saturday morning were Joshua Ladau, Ray Mikesell, John Pilafian, Jan Spencer and trip leader Dave Predeek.
