Hardesty MountainMarch 5, 1994Usually when it’s foggy in Eugene, the weather will be quite nice further east. Today the situation was different! Eugene had the sun for most of our hike; we had fog. Hardesty is usually a very beautiful hike with all the large trees and old growth sections. But today, we had to see the trees through fog. Despite the conditions, the group was in good spirits as we ascended over 3000 feet. At the top we met several groups and after eating several of John’s “bombs” we descended fairly quickly. Hikers were Rita Johnson, John Pilafian, Rebecca Hansen, Kevin Clark and leader Gary Marx. |
