Sutton CreekFebruary 26, 1994Four Obsidians and two non-members explored all the loops of the Sutton Creek Trail. We got lucky with the weather. Our lunch spot at a campground came equipped with sunshine and picnic tables. Those of us indulging in the traditional Obsidian post-lunch nap got to recline on adjacent picnic tables. During our afternoon walk we attempted tree identification, using the leader’s new tree ID book: results were inconclusive. At one trailside break we engaged in a lively discussion of safe sex and teenagers. The trail is in good shape — the deep puddles now have culverts through them and are leapable. Hikers were Mary Hulbert, Rita Johnson, Helen Liguori, Susan Matthews, Dennis Snyder and Susan Baker (leader). |
