Gold Lake/Rosary Lakes

We got an early start to make sure we’d finish before sundown. Snow conditions were challenging but we did have sunny weather. We parked at Willamette Pass and skied (walked) the connector trail to Gold Lake Road. We skied in to Gold Lake, then backtracked to the Maiden Peak Trail, which was very crusty. After several hours we reached the PCNST (and sun-softened snow). After lunch in the sun, we made our way down through Rosary Lakes and back to Willamette Pass with half-an-hour of daylight to spare. Skiers were Mike Landes and Bill Montgomery (leader).
