Midnight LakeJanuary 23, 1994It was mild and rainy as we left Eugene but fortunately the highway was clear all the way to the Gold Lake SnoPark. There had been no new snow for weeks and the ski trail was packed and slippery. Skiing was OK. We ate our lunch at Midnight Lake and fed the birds. A wind came up and, surprisingly, snow began to fall! We returned to the SnoPark by way of Bechtel Shelter. Back in Eugene, it was spring-like: the sun was shining and the temperature was 55 degrees. Those enjoying the outing were Cheryl Berry, Royal Murdock and leader Dave Predeek. |
