Cache Mountain

January 22, 1994

This group met under the gloom of a very rainy forecast. All were undaunted and by the McKenzie Bridge the sun was out. The weather continued to hold for the rest of the day, even though it rained in Eugene. The path out followed the snowmobile trail of the Ray Benson SnoPark along the Cross District Trail. The group made good progress and were on top in slightly over three hours. The snow was nothing to write home about and there were even some bare spots on the road up Cache Mountain! The return trip followed a cross-country route which was a welcome change from the snowmobile path. A good time was had by Denis Biesekin, LaVerne Drake, Dick Hildreth, Harold Thompson and James Schick, leader.
