This was a midweek trip that actually attracted a few people.
Four of us (leader Bill Montgomery, Susan Baker, Evelyn Cowan and Lucille Peterson)
met Velma Shirk at the Lowell Ranger Station.
Velma then drove us up the slightly icy road to Johnny Creek.
Because it was cold and drizzly we decided not to try the whole 13-mile trail, but instead went
upriver from Johnny Creek a few miles.
