Olallie Mountain

September 18, 1994

On a fine Sunday morning our hiking group left the Pat Saddle trailhead for Olallie Mountain. This hike in the French Pete area is short (3.4 miles one way), has limited elevation gain (1200 ft.) and provides spectacular views. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the summit and were treated to the major sights between Mt. Hood and Crater Lake. Our group consisted of Bill & Maxine McWhorter, their friend Norma, Jon Meyers, Lou Wenzl, Diana Wageman, Rita Johnson, Scott Hovis, Linda Carnine and leader Sam Miller.
