On the first cloudy weekend in many days a group of 11 hikers set
off for The Twins.
We made a stop at Salt Creek Falls to enjoy the view of the waterfall.
We hiked up the trail to the cinder cone with an eye open for snow as
it was expected around 6500 ft.
When we arrived at the top 7300-plus feet we had a great view of Waldo Lake.
The weather was cool but we had mostly sunny skies.
On our way home around Oakridge we were doused with heavy rains.
We were glad we were hiking rather than in the valley with the rain.
Hikers included Virginia Prouty, Helen Liguori, Gary Marx,
Ed & Elly Meservey, Valdas Anelauskas, Marilyn Goldbeck, Bob Lemon,
Rick Wilmath, Eunhee Chon and leader Bob Hill.
