Lowder MountainJuly 3, 1994It was a beautiful, sunny day as 13 of us hiked up Lowder Mountain. Wildflowers were everywhere, and the views were spectacular. After lunch we searched around the top for obsidian arrowheads. We found lots of small chips, but nothing worth noting. Anne Montgomery did a great job explaining some of the history of the Indians who used Lowder Mountain. Hikers were Kara & Soorya Bateman, Jim Fritz, Pat Gripp, Jeane Hall, Marty Hathaway, Hal & Joyce Owen, Royal Murdock, Marion Rozowski and Diane Jeffcott (leader). |
