Waldport-Yachats

The leader had a sore throat and candidly was not looking forward to a day’s hiking in the on and off showers that prevailed throughout the day. Since the person who was staying in Newport changed her mind about meeting us at the Adobe, the leader turned into the official shuttle driver, and met and enjoyed lunch with the four determined hikers and picked them up at the end of the hike. We enjoyed after-hike snacks at the funky coffee-house on the north side of Yachats. The sun broke out as we neared Eugene, where the sun had shone most all day. Oh, well! Hikers were Teresa Ladd, Anne Hartheimer, Virginia Marlisghlin and John Pilafian. Driver was Joe Lowry (trip leader).
