Rosary Lakes/Bobby Lake
October 10, 1993
This hike was the annual (2nd) “check out the condition of the PCNST from
Rosary Lakes to the Bobby Lake Trail”.
The Obsidians are responsible for this stretch of the Pacific Crest Trail.
The task was made much easier by the presence of Ray Jensen, fearless leader of the Trail Maintenance
The day was cool and overcast.
This inspired our hearty group to maintain a brisk pace and a relatively short lunch break at the
Middle Rosary Lake.
At the Bobby Lake Trail/PCNST junction, a decision was made by all to add one more mile to our
11-mile hike by going in to see Bobby Lake.
It was really lovely and well worth the added effort.
My sincere thanks to car shuttlers Margee Wright and Ray Jensen.
The group consisted of Obsidians Cheryl Berry, Mary Holbert, Ray Jensen, Dave Predeek and Margee Wright.
Non-members were Dick Cross, Andrea Daugherty, Jim Fritz, Rita Johnson, Karen Rich, Mary Jo Sterling
and Arun Toke.
Sharon Ritchie was trip leader.
