Castle Rock

Three Obsidians and seven ticks met on a beautiful Spring day to hike up Castle Rock, near Cougar Reservoir. We were treated to early wildflowers, old growth forest, rock gardens, and a panoramic view which included “Sisters”, Cougar and Blue River Reservoirs and the McKenzie River Valley. Sig Otto gave a convincing demonstration on how to extricate happy ticks from their Nirvana. Obsidian travelers included Dot Leland, Sig Otto and Sandy Moore (leader).
