Kentucky FallsMay 9, 1993This Mother’s Day hike to Kentucky Falls was great. The weather was sunny, in the high 60s, and very comfortable for all. I’d never seen so much water in the falls. Wild flowers were in abundance. We stopped at Roman Nouce (Nose?) and saw panoramic views of all the mountains — Hood, Bachelor, the Three Sisters, Broken Top, and the Coast Range, etc. Word is definitely out about this hike as the parking lot had about 15 cars in it upon our return. Hikers were Jim Healey, Norma Jacobs, Ernie King, Leona Maltz, B. Manheim, Chuck Mitchell, Jean Ridone, Alys Riley, Karen Seidel, Clare Tucker, Martha Winter, Kevin ?? and Diane Jeffcott (leader). |
