Waldport to Yachats

April 17, 1993

We left Eugene in the rain and it was still raining when we returned to Eugene, but we enjoyed a dry and sunny hike along the beach between Waldport and Yachats. The beach was remarkably clear of debris, probably as a result of the beach cleanup two weekends earlier (thanks to all who participated in that endeavor). We noticed several new beach homes since our last beach hike two years ago — “progress” continues! All of us, except Bob Dark, got wet feet while wading the several streams that flow across the beach. Come, join us next April! Beach hikers were: Gayle Berge, Bob Dark, Jane Hackett, Vi Johnson, Bill Montgomery, Sig Otto and leader Joe Lowry.
