Mt. Pisgah Arboretum

A beautiful spring day greeted our 11-member work party at Mt. Pisgah on March 6. Last month’s ice storm caused extensive damage to the trees and other vegetation in the Arboretum. We cleaned most of the debris from the entrance area and from the meadow. We also completed spreading the cedar mulch and improving the popular Incense Cedar Trail. (The Arboretum accepts volunteer workers the fist and third Saturdays of each month with a 9:00 a.m. start. The Obsidians will again participate on April 3.) The March 6 work party consisted of Quinten Barton, Vi Johnson, Glenn Meares, Bill Montgomery, Virginia Prouty, Parker Riddle, Velma Shirk, Harvey Is: Randy Speck, Andy Thompson and Ray Jensen (leader).
