Bowren Lake (B.C.) Canoe TripApril 23, 1993Seventy-three people enjoyed the April 23 Potluck at the Lodge plus the stories and slides by Gary Guttormsen and his sister-in-law Ginny of the canoe trip they took a few years ago. The trip (three canoes with six people) took place in the Bowren Lake Provincial Park in British Columbia. Slides showed beautiful lakes in this very rugged country; also black and grizzly bear and beaver. Keen interest was shown by some at the potluck to do this 72-mile canoe trip themselves! Now that’s a lot of paddling! Anyone interested can find maps and information at the Lodge. Special thanks to Lodge kitchen workers Marilyn & Royal Murdock and Dorothy Turner. |
