Three Creek LakeFebruary 23, 1992There was no snow below 4,300 ft., which stopped any thought of skiing from Hoodoo to Suttle Lake, so we proceeded to the alternate trip of skiing into Three Creek Lake, south of Sisters. We found good fresh snow at 5,000 ft. and luckily at the start of the trail. The day was warm, clear, and no wind — almost a shorts day! We had lunch at a trail shelter with a fantastic view of the Sisters north to Mt. Hood. Everyone reached Three Creek Lake and returned through softening snow in the late afternoon. Those enjoying this superb day together were Cheryl Berry, Dallas Cole, Bob Dark, Rick Davidson, Ladislav (Les) Filip, Bea Fontana, Jane Hackett, Dick Hildreth, Janet Hall, Bill MacDonald, Kara Mayer, Bill Montgomery, Royal Murdock, Suzanne Steussy, Gene Thaxton, Andy Thompson, Fred Wilson, and Glenn Meares (leader). |
