February 2, 1992
A group just right to fill the leader’s Subaru wagon (the official Obsidian vehicle?)
for the drive to the Ray Benson Sno-Park.
There was new (though wettish) snow on the trails and a light snow fell during much of the day.
South to Big Lake mostly on a snowmobile trail.
Lunch at the lake and then north via the PCNST and other trails for about a seven-mile trip.
We were all getting a bit wet by the time we hit the parking area.
Big Lake is pleasant, but tends to attract snowmobiles.
The leader enjoyed meeting four young Obsidians not encountered before.
Trippers were Allen Hancock, Mary Holbert, Kristi Kaminski, Barbara Schulz
and leader Ed Lichtenstein.
