Hoodoo AreaJanuary 26, 1992While many people decided the snow was poor and stayed home, four of us found-better-than-average conditions and empty trails to enjoy. Although the snow lived up to its name of “Cascade Concrete” we made it to Island Lake Shelter by 11:30 for lunch. Lunch came so soon that we added an additional four miles to the trip. Glenn Meares, Bill Montgomery and Marriner Orum loved it, while leader Jane Hackett limped back to the car exhausted. The others continued on, arriving back at the parking lot with big smiles and looking very pleased with their expedition! |
