Summit Lake

September 20, 1992

Take one gorgeous autumn day, add three canoes, a kayak, and a group of congenial people. Set this all on a pristine mountain lake with views of Diamond Peak to the north and Cowhorn to the south and you have all the ingredients for a perfect Sunday outing. We met at the campground at 10:30, some cars coming around Hills Creek Reservoir and the others via Crescent Lake. (No way to avoid a few miles of bumps and dust.) Once on the water, we proceeded clockwise, stopping at a sunny beach for lunch and then continuing around the shoreline exploring bays and inlets. Enjoying a beautiful day were Bill & Donna Eimstad, Joella Ewing, Sig Otto, Gail Sanford, Allan Sorenson, Dorothy Turner, and leader, Leona Devine.
