September 10, 1992
It was planned to be a peaceful hike to a wonderful place and all went according to plan —
no sweat, no strain, no stress.
Seven of us piled into the van for Bobby Lake on a cloudy, grey day.
After a brief stop at Salt Creek Falls we went on to the trailhead and had hiked to our
destination by 11:00 am.
A couple of our participants were anxious to make this a qualifying hike, so we continued along
the Moore Creek Trail to add distance.
It also added interest, and to the joy of the day.
Our seat of choice was one long log for everyone where we enjoyed a view of Maiden Peak while
eating our lunch.
After that we stopped at the giant rock outcropping which gave us a view of The Twins.
Our clouds had cleared and we enjoyed the blue sky-but the weather had warned considerably
and we did sweat a bit on the way out.
Another stop at Salt Creek and a walk there to see the falls, and we were homeward bound,
back by 4:00 p.m. were Kevin Clark, Donna Gales, Bev Halter, Marie Loome, Mary Millman,
Virginia Thine and leader Lois Morse.
Fun day; fine people!
