South Eugene Bike Ride

June 7, 1992

We met at SEHS parking lot at 10 a.m. and rode out the Alder St. bike path and East Amazon to Fox Hollow. Then up Fox Hollow to the top where we rested on the viewing bench, gazing at the beautiful scene towards the west and easting part of our lunch. The weather was perfect for bike riding, sunny but cool. We then plunged down McBeth Rd. to the Lorane Highway, left to Bailey Hill and up the hill to the store for a snack and a discussion of the latest film with Pat, who teaches “The Film as Literature” at the State College, Gunnison, Colo. Back in the saddle again, we rode into Eugene to the West Amazon bike path and back to SEHS. All in all, it was a short but stimulating bike ride for Bob Devine, Pat Sterling and Rose Marie Moffitt (leader).
