Clear Lake TrailJune 3, 1992The varied colors of the water in Clear Lake never fail to amaze me, and the clear blue sky brought out the gemlike blues and greens on this warm sunny day. Only one blooming bear grass was spotted, and other flowers were not as profuse as usual. Honeysuckle and tiger lilies were at their peak. We paused briefly to note the small yew trees and their growth habits. It was too warm for a lunch break near the osprey tree, and no birds were seen or heard on our short stop there. Those enjoying the hike and the marionberry pie at the Lodge were non-members Emylou Lloyd, Pat Sterling and Ruth Wheaton. Members were Bob Devine, Gladys Grancorvitz, Helen Lynch and leader Vera Woolley. |
