Coast HikeMay 31, 1992May 31 was a beautiful, warm, no-wind day at the Coast. A congenial group of nine women enjoyed the walk along the Oregon Coast Trail from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. There was time to enjoy the flowers and the birds/off-shore mammals lounging loudly on the Oregon islands. The scenery along this part of the Coast is super/spectacular. There are more access points to viewpoints developed in the past year which provide closer looks to rock walls with nesting birds and other sights. Dee Bray from Bandon was our resource information group leader, identifying berries, flowers and birds. Enjoying the Coast were Dee Bray, Barbara Chinn, Karen Dietrich, Gladys Grancorvitz, Maxine Hall, Nola Kalez, Suzanne Steussy, Betty Jean Wylie and leader Mary Ellen West. |
