Fall Creek Trail
July 18, 1992
Only three intrepid volunteers assembled at 8:30 a.m. at SEHS.
We met Forest Service recreation director Sue Baker at the Lowell Ranger Station.
She drove us in a F.S. van to the upper Fall Creek area.
Then a two-mile hike to a slide area where we built new trail and cut steps in a large fallen
tree blocking the trail.
The weather was mercifully cool; this was WORK!
We also did some clean-up on several log trail bridges.
A beautiful area, good trail suitable for a nice day hike.
“Sweat-hoes” Bill Montgomery, Ray Mikesell and Ray Jensen (leader) returned
to Eugene about 5:00 p.m.
