All About Old Growth

John Cissel really knows his trees! At the April 24 Lodge Potluck he showed many slides to illustrate his informative talk — “All About Old-Growth” — and pointed out the general characteristics of each tree and forest. Several slides were of specific trees to look out for on certain hikes. From many perspectives, high and low, near and far, anyone who saw this very interesting “tree” slide show will be more observant in future while hiking. Perhaps someone will even take along a tape measure . . .
