After listening to the rain come down in buckets all night long, I fully expected a series of
“I-can’t-make-it” phone calls and no-shows.
Shame on me for my lack of faith!! Sixteen sign-ups, 14 show-ups.
Expecting the worst at the coast, I was again surprised.
We had occasional showers but the air temperature was warm.
After a very leisurely lunch overlooking the ocean, we took the coastal/dune route back to
The coastal portion proved very interesting. We were greeted with a storm-tossed high tide.
This caused much scampering at times. Thank heaven there were no cliffs!
Many thanks to my fellow hikers for making it another great day.
