Midnight LakeJanuary 5, 1991In the interest of energy conservation, I planned for us to travel to Willamette Pass using the Iron Horse Ski Bus. We had only 3 people on this trip but I’ll give it a try again next year. The company has a newer bus so we traveled in comfort. There had been no new snow but it had been quite cold since the mid-December snowstorm so skiing was still very good. We skied up to Midnight Lake and had lunch in the sunshine. We skied about a mile beyond Midnight Lake and returned by way of the shelter and then headed toward Gold Lake skiing a total of 9 miles for the day. Those enjoying this fine winter outing were Tom Ray, Suzanne Steussy and leader Dave Predeek. |
