This excursion was a masterpiece of coordination!
The SEHS contingent left at 9:30 to rendezvous with Helen and Mary at Lowell at 10:15.
The group then traveled on to Goodman Creek Road, arriving at exactly 10:30 to await the
Chemeketans, who planned to arrive 10:30-11:00.
They were waiting for us!
When George Laborde says the Chemeketans are prompt, you’d better believe him!
We all then drove up to the trailhead, with one car traveling on to the upper trailhead.
The weather was great.
Helen made the hike both interesting and educational by giving us a thumbnail history of the trail
and the surrounding area.
Thank heavens there was lots of room at the top!

After a leisurely, noisy lunch in the sunshine, our group splintered with the gallopers charging
down the trail and the strollers enjoying the scenery.
