Sutton CreekApril 24, 1991Leaving Eugene at 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning is pleasantly traffic-free. This day was cloudy and remained so, but no rain dampened our bodies or spirits. The hike through the forest, over some dunes and along the creek was very pleasant. Lunch and conversation took place on the Overlook. We decided to go on towards Heceta lighthouse and poke around the tidepools since the tide was out. Starfish of many colors added to our enjoyment of the pools. We walked up to the lighthouse and then aimed for home with a refreshment stop on the way, of course! Those participating were Celia Bosworth, Laurie Ewing, Susan Diener, Bonnie Manheim, and leader Shirley Froyd. |
