Around seventy people viewed Jim Blanchard’s slides of hiking and climbing in the Japan Alps at the January 25 Potluck at the Lodge. Laughter, gasps, and sighs were plentiful as Jim entertained us with anecdotes from his travels. We are fortunate that he is ready to take the time to present such a quality show for us.

Obsidian Treasurer John McManigal gave a short report about the many challenges he faces keeping the Club’s accounts in order. A special thankyou to Wayne and Ruth Lill for taking care of the kitchen. There were remarks from guests about our Potlucks being “the best in town . . .” Thanks to all of you for sharing your culinary treats.
