Hoodoo-Big Lake Area
December 6, 1990
The Obsidians’ first winter trip was held on December 6th when nine of us went to
the Hoodoo area to cross-country ski.
What a beautiful day! We had fresh snow, clear skies and great fellowship: what more could you ask?
We skied to Big Lake and had lunch while looking at Mt. Washington with its new covering of snow.
A loop was then made around to the east and we were back to the van by early afternoon.
We then picked up John and Lenore McManigal (who had elected to downhill ski) and headed home.
I think we all felt as if we had started the winter season off just right.
Hoodoo’ers were Emmy Dale, Dallas Cole, Jane Hackett, Glenn Meares, Dawn Peterson, Parker Riddle,
Gene Thaxton and Bob Dark, leader.
