Odell ButteMarch 11, 1990I had the great pleasure of leading eight skiers up Odell Butte in what started out with warm sunshine and four inches of new snow. Although the sunshine was replaced with clouds, and light snow, the summit was reached in three hours of faultless skiing by the group. The fresh snow allowed for almost effortless and controlled skiing back down to the trailhead. Mari Baldwin, Janice and Robert Carrico, John Engstrom, Barry Greer, Lisa Haws, Sandra Larsen and Suzanne Steussy joined me, Jerry Crosby (leader), for a very good day of skiing and enjoying the beauty of Oregon. |
