Six a.m. comes early but is appropriate for the long drive to Pole Creek, south of Sisters
and the fourteen-mile hike to Camp Lake and back to the trailhead at the Pole Creek parking lot.
The view of the east side of the Three Sisters is well worth the effort; the trail passes within
one mile of the North and Middle Sisters and snuggles into the saddle between the Middle and South.
The hike is gradual on excellent trail with good signs to point the way.
Hikers were joined at Camp Lake by John Hudson who had been on the Green Lakes hike the day before.
The mountains had a dusting of snow and the threat of more to come but the weather held for this
Hiking were: Dan Bates, Linda Caputa, Barbara Chinn, Maxine Hall, John Hudson, Ray Mikesell,
Lorraine Mombert, Susan Sullivan, Marty Welches and Mary Ellen West (leader).
