Grizzly PeakJuly 28, 1990We left Eugene on a sunny morning to meet the Whites at the Pamelia Lake Trailhead. Due to Obsidian Camp and a couple of other trips we had a total of four people for our Grizzly Peak trip. The rhodies were through blooming by this time, but the lupine, Indian paintbrush and a few Washington lilies were in bloom. We ate lunch in a shady spot with a view of Mt. Jefferson and Pamelia Lake. What a super place to be on a hot summer day! After lunch we continued our ascent of the peak and were rewarded with views of several mountain peaks. After a quick trip down the peak we drove to Marion Forks for refreshments. This was an enjoyable day for the two leaders (Jan White and Sandra Larsen) and two non-members, Chris Christensen and Davis White. |
