A thoroughly enjoyable day with a small, diverse group of very compatible characters. The weather warm and sunny, the trail eroding severely in places and the old mining equipment is disappearing at a faster than usual rate, but the trip is still very worthwhile. The gold-mining-artifact-seekers included Sue Kangas, Mardi Klotz, Thomas O’Shaughnessy, Betty Staeck, and Gene Thaxton (leader).
