Alpine Trail

We experienced unusual weather, including some hail. The variety was within the comfort range of our party and we reached the top of Tire Mountain by 12 past 12. Wildflowers on this trip were especially beautiful but too numerous to list. We had two small saws and several pairs of clippers so were able to do some pruning where the blowdown trees were blocking the trail. People took turns walking first, but generally we kept a comfortable slow pace, usually in earshot or sight of one another. An amazing day. This Pleiad included drivers Darrell Lindsey and Hans Schock, Ben Elkus, Gary Marks, Sharon Ritchie, Betty Staeck and Emmy Dale (leader).
