Obsidian Lodge to Hendricks Park

This walk was offered to see if there was any interest in having leisurely walks in the immediate vicinity of Eugene and surrounding areas. Two people signed up and along with the leader had a very enjoyable walk. We started at the Lodge, continued down Spring Boulevard, up Heights Boulevard to Hendricks Park. We toured the rhododendron garden (many plants were still in bloom, but this trip would have been more colorful two weeks earlier). We ate our lunch at the park, gave information about our club to a very nice young man at the next picnic table, and then walked on the wooded trail to Spring Boulevard and back to the Lodge. Obsidian Miki Hutchison and non-member David Zinsmeyer enjoyed the walk with the leader, Barbara Hasek.
