Blair LakeMarch 5, 1989On March 5th, the date of our ski trip into Blair Lake, it was raining. It was raining here in Eugene. It was raining at the Willamette Pass. So it was presumably raining at Blair Lake, about 200 feet lower than Willamette Pass. Sandra Larsen, who was co-leading in place of Leona Devine, and I talked on the phone and agreed to cancel the trip. I reached all the prospective skiers except Wes Prouty. My husband, Dave, Sandra and I went down to the S.E.H.S parking lot to meet Wes and invite him out to breakfast. We didn’t get to ski, but we four had a good visit over breakfast and subsequently looked over the house Sandra recently bought. (Leader: Jan White.) |
