Rosary LakesMarch 4, 1989It was cloudy and cool as we started up the trail. We were in a foot of new snow, but a couple or so other skiers had gone in ahead of us, breaking the trail. Before we arrived at the upper lakes, fine snow flakes were falling, and this increased for awhile. We had our lunch under the partial shelter of some trees, then headed out. It was an easy day of skiing, as snow conditions were the best that we could remember on this trail, with no ice. Returning to the Willamette Pass Ski Area, we decided to ski near the edge of the bunny slope for a time. We were back in Eugene by 3:40 p.m. Enjoying a day of skiing were non-member Herb McMurtry and member (and leader) Norm Benton. |
